There is a timeless rhythm to life when you stay at a Zimbabwe Hunting Camp dating back to when hunters like Rhodes, Selous and Rosseveldt were exploring Africa. The days feel longer, the skies are bluer - all feels right with the world. Zimbabwe still is a great hunting destination.
This camp is a family favorite. It is situated on the banks of the Murara River in the West Nicholson area in Zimbabwe. There is acres of unspoiled bush land and rocky outcrops surrounding the camp. It has generator electricity. There are two en-suite chalets, an indoor bar and lapa area with a fireplace. The dining room is separate from the well equipt kitchen and chalets. The outside fireplace and barbeque area is perfect for exchanging enthralling hunting stories. Guests are treated at night with a bone chilling "whoop whoop" of the Spotted Hyena or the deep sawing of a Leopard.
We have 2 areas where we hunt in the Lowveld.
- Just outside Triangle on the Mulirikwi River we hunt from an old ranch house with generated electricity. The numerous photos on the walls add to the ambience of this old homestead. The stories they tell is what African hunting is all about.
- On the Limpopo river, serving as the Southern boundary of Zimbabwe's Gona Re Zhou National Park is a very rustic but comfortable tented safari camp overlooking the river with generator electricity. This camp has shared ablutions but unbelievable hunting.
